The Ishinca Valley is located just outside of Huaraz, and is an excellent location to climb a variety of two peaks. This trip will ascend a variety of climbs that are great for beginning high altitude climbers wanting to gain high altitude climbing experience. the short approach provides for a maximum amount of time to acclimate and learn glacier, snow and ice climbing skills. Itinerary:
Day 01.- Arrive – Lima Peru – transfer to hotel
Day 02.- Lima – Huaraz ( by bus or by flight )
Day 03.- Acclimatization day ( tour to churup lake 4,450m.)
Day 04.- Huaraz – Cashapampa 2900m. – Llamacorral 3700m
Day 05.- Llamacorral – Alpamayo Base Camp – Taullipampa 4,250m.
Day 06.- Taullipampa – Punta Union pass 4,700m. – Cachinapampa 3,700m.
Day 07.- Cachinapampa – Vaqueria – Llanganuco Huaraz
Day 08.- Rest day – Buy meal for Ishinca Valley
Day 09.- Huaraz – Cochapampa Ishinca Base Camp 4300m.
Day 10.- Base Camp – Ishinca Summit 5,560m – Base Camp
Day 11.- Base Camp – Moraine Camp 4,800m
Day 12.- Moraine Camp – Tocllaraju Summit 6,030m. Base Camp
Day 13.- Base Camp – Cochapampa – Huaraz Hotel
Day 14.- Huaraz – Lima ( by public bus or by flight )
